What we do
We support children and youth to reach their full potential through education, healthcare and skills training and mentorship.
We provide creative activities that nurture children's talents by participating in sports, music, arts and crafts among others.
We Find & Fund
We find donors and sponsors to support different projects that will allow us to support more children and youth.
We Educate
Today’s youth need a helpful hand and the right guidance at every stage. Here’s where we sponsor the most needy through high school and those who choose to pursue nursing programs.
We Provide Health Care Service
In our after-school programs, children find a safe place to learn and explore their talents through various activities and health care services.
Mental Health
We realize that many children especially in their youth go through mental health issues and because of that NHIK provides and creates mental health awareness campaigns. specifically to cater to their needs
Environmental Programs
We foster environmental awareness and responsibility through different environmental activities and participate in environmental awareness campaigns such as World Clean Up Day
Girl Empowerment
We understand that the future is woman and we strive to empower and create an environment suitable for girls to grow and feel free around.
What we care about
Nesting for Hope International's After School Program in Remote Areas of Kenya

* Overcrowded schools in Kenya with high teacher-to-student ratios (1:80)
* Lack of individualized attention, leading to children falling behind and losing interest in school
* Limited extra-curricular activities, causing non-academic students to become disengaged
* Children may turn to streets or child labor due to lack of support
Objectives:
* Improve academic performance and educational outcomes
* Enhance life skills and character development
* Foster environmental awareness and responsibility
* Provide a safe and supportive environment for children
* Healthcare
Program Components:
* Academic support and tutoring
* Life skills training (conflict resolution, self-esteem, goal setting)
* Environmental conservation activities (tree planting, waste management, community clean-ups)

* Sports and physical activity.

Our Health
Programs
Nesting for Hope International offers children complimentary counseling and minor treatment services through the NHIK clinic, conveniently located within the after-school program center. Additionally, to ensure sustainability, the community will also have access to the health center’s services for a minimal fee, providing a reliable source of affordable healthcare and further supporting the well-being of the entire community. This holistic approach will not only benefit the children but also their families and the broader community, fostering a healthier and more resilient society for generations to come.”
Children in this community face serious respiratory health challenges due to poor housing, exposure to smoke and dust, and malnutrition from poverty, all of which increase their risk of infections and hinder their development. Improving housing, access to nutrition, and hygiene education through targeted interventions can help reduce these health issues and promote the community’s overall well-being.
